PROJECT 3
TROPICAL SOLITARY HAVEN
This project require us to produce a dwelling on a specific location and the space or the dwelling it self must reflect the user requirement and the context we had choose. This project is a continue from the previous 2 project. From the knowledge we had we can produce a usable dwelling for 2 people use.
Progress
I started my project by analysing my site information and user characteristic. From that, I can get how I can design my space and roughly how the building will look like. After it to get more idea on how to design the building I started my precedent study. Right after the precedent study, I started my design process where is a series of tries and errors. In the first two models, I try to explore the shape of the building. Frist is rectangular and the second is the trapezium shape. Later then I found out that the trapezium shape is hard to control and is difficult to arrange the shape so for the size of the building I go for the rectangular shape. After it, I try on to explore the space since I had come out with a rough space arrangement before I go for the shape so I keep improving on that basic. To a series of tries and errors, I finally reach the end of my design and I place my building name as "HYGGE".

In this assignment I can fully develop a dwelling by my own which is an interesting and excited process. In the process of this assignment I learned how to process the user need and the context creativity. Since this is a dwelling that in function so I was require to think critically throughout the design process. Which shape is suitable and how I can arrange the space according to the user need ? This question keep in my mind throughout the whole process to the end. And I was also requires to communicate with my tutor in a professional way of design thinking. By communicate in a different mode I was able to understand the requirement of this assignment more accurately.
